Fakear

Francúzsky hudobník, beatmaker a producent Fakear alias Theo Le Vigoureux je najžiarivejšou hviezdou stále novej vlny elektronickej hudby z Francúzska, ktorá je často kladená na os niekde medzi Flumeho, Kaytranadu, Mount Kimbie a Bonoba a ktorej zvukové kvality nepochybne nielen dosahuje, ale darí sa mu vytvárať aj vlastný štýl.

Priekopník, ktorý v roku 2015 vypredal legendárnu parížsku Olympiu ešte predtým ako predstavil svoj prvý album (Animal), s ktorým následne dosiahol zlatý status. So skladbou La Lune Rousse dosiahol globálny hit, ktorý obletel celý svet. Zahral si po boku M.I.A a Odeszy, ako aj na svetovom turné s Bonobom.

Bola to šialená cesta, ktorá sa začala vydaním série EP (Morning In Japan a Dark Lands v roku 2013, Sauvage v roku 2014, Asakusa v roku 2015), ktorými si vytvoril vlastnú silnú zvukovú identitu, elegantne spájajúcu britský post-dubstep s orientálnymi vplyvmi. Odvtedy vznikli štyri albumy spolu s množstvom EP, remixov a spoluprác. Fakear dokazuje, že beatmaking môže splynúť s popkultúrou bez toho, aby stratil identitu a charakter. Jeho zvuk je vhodný na tanečný parket aj na počúvanie pod hviezdami: inštinktívny a organický, filmovo zhovievavý a konkrétny zároveň.

Po takmer desiatich rokoch a jednej pandémii potreboval Fakear znovu objaviť seba a svoje hudobné alter ego. Výsledkom jeho prežívania je pripravovaný album Talisman, ktorý by mal vyjsť v roku 2023. Inšpiráciu čerpá z globálneho, trip-hopu a deep housu. Je to naozaj silný a jedinečný mix. Tematicky sa producent pohybuje medzi horninami, kryštálmi a časom chápaným cez geologické nánosy. Pozrite si videoklip k piesni Voyager, ktorý vás prevedie dychberúcimi pohľadmi v stave beztiaže. Album označuje za svoj doteraz najväčší a najambicióznejší.

Vigoureux je ambiciózny aj v boji proti klimatickým zmenám a pred dvoma rokmi sa pripojil k hnutiu Music Declares Emergency. Teraz hrá na klimatických pochodoch a na piesni Odyssea z pripravovaného albumu spolupracuje s renomovanou francúzskou klimatickou aktivistkou Camille Étienne.

French musician, beatmaker and producer Fakear, alias Theo Le Vigoureux, is the brightest star of a still new wave of electronic music from France, who is often placed on an axis somewhere between Flume, Kaytranada, Mount Kimby and Bonobo, and whose sound quality he undoubtedly not only achieves, but also succeeds in creating a style all his own.

A pioneer who sold out the legendary Olympia in Paris in 2015 and only then presented his first album (Animal), with which he then achieved gold status. With the song „La Lune Rousse“, he achieved a global hit that took him around the world. He played alongside M.I.A and Odesza as well as a world tour with Bonobo.

It was an insane journey that began with the release of a series of EPs (Morning In Japan and Dark Lands in 2013, Sauvage in 2014, Asakusa in 2015), with which he forged a strong sound identity of his own, elegantly blending British post-dubstep and oriental influences. In the meantime, four albums have been produced alongside many EPs, remixes and collaborations. Fakear proves that beatmaking can merge with pop culture without losing identity and character. His sound is suitable for the dance floor as well as for listening under the stars: instinctive and organic, cinematically indulgent and concrete at the same time.

Almost a decade and a pandemic later, Fakear needed to reinvent himself and his musical alter ego. The result of his ruminations is the upcoming album Talisman, due for release in 2023. He draws inspiration from global, trip-hop and deep house. The mix is powerful and unique. Thematically, the producer moves among rocks, crystals and time understood through geological deposits. Check out the video for the song „Voyager“, which takes you through breathtaking views in a state of weightlessness. He calls the album his biggest and most ambitious yet.

Vigoureux is also ambitious in the fight against climate change and two years ago joined the movement Music Declares Emergency. He now plays at climate marches and is working with renowned French climate activist Camille Étienne on the song „Odyssea“ from the upcoming album.
