The TBCK Forward residency program focuses on women artists and cultural professionals from Central and Eastern Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia). The program is open to the fields of film, sound art, media art, artistic research, and dramaturgy.

Conditions
- Applicants for a one-month residency at the Tabačka Kulturfabrik cultural centre in Košice must be permanent residents of one of the countries listed above.
- Selected artists or professionals working in the field of culture will present the result of their stay at the end of the residency. The form of the presentation is open and depends on the focus of the artist-in-residence.
- Tabačka Kulturfabrik will provide workspace and support in finding resources, materials and contacts. If technical support is needed, it is important to mention this already in the application in the description of the activity the author will be involved in during the residency.
What do we provide
- During the residency the authors will have covered travel expenses for the return trip to Košice
- Accommodation for one month within the walking distance from Tabačka Kulturfabrik
- Stipendium 500€
- One main meal a day at Tabačka Bistro during the working day.
- Free entrance to the Tabčka events

In order to be included in a selection it is necessary to fill in an APPLICATION FORM (link: https://forms.gle/KWkDsdsqGK4y8HxY8 ) which includes:
- uploading a brief CV (PDF)
- uploading a cover letter describing what you will be working on during your residency (PDF)
- link to website or online portfolio
- an indicative time for the residency between July-September 2023. (Proposed dates are not binding on the residency organisers.)

Selection of residency participants shall be presented by a committee composed of a representative of an expert community, representative of the cultural centre and the dramaturgist of the TBCK forward residency program. Selected participants will be contacted via email by June 5th, 2023. Beginning of the first residency is planned on July 1st, 2023.
TBCK forward is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
Tabačka Kulturfabrik is a cultural centre and an open zone for art, creativity and cooperation. It is an unmissable cultural point of the city and the region, a place for presentation and production of various genres of contemporary art (concerts, theatre, dance, new circus, exhibitions, multicultural events, interactive installations, workshops, lectures) and number of community activities. With its activity it supports an open way of thinking, creativity, provides an educational background and develops a critical thinking.

Podmienky
- Záujemkyne o jednomesačný rezidenčný pobyt v kultúrnom centre Tabačka Kulturfabrik v Košiciach pobyt musia mať trvalé bydlisko v jednej z vyššie uvedených krajín.
- Vybrané umelkyne alebo profesionálky pracujúce v oblasti kultúry odprezentujú na konci rezidencie výsledok svojho pobytu. Podoba prezentácie je otvorená a závisí od zamerania rezidentky.
- Tabačka Kulturfabrik zabezpečí pracovný priestor a podporu pri hľadaní zdrojov, materiálov a kontaktov. V prípade potreby technickej podpory je dôležité o tom informovať už v žiadosti v popise činnosti, ktorej sa na rezidencii bude autorka venovať.
Čo poskytujeme
- Počas pobytu budú autorkám uhradené výdavky na spiatočnú cestu do Košíc.
- Ubytovanie na jeden mesiac v dochádzkovej vzdialenosti od Tabačky Kulturfabrik
- Štipendium 500€

Výber rezidentiek predstaví komisia zložená zo zástupkyne odbornej verejnosti, zástupcu kultúrneho centra a dramaturgičky rezidenčného programu TBCK forward. Vybrané rezidentky budú kontaktované mailom do 5. júna 2023. Začiatok prvej rezidencie je plánovaný 1. júla 2023.

Tabačka Kulturfabrik je kultúrnym centrom a otvorenou zónou pre umenie, kreativitu a spoluprácu. Je neprehliadnuteľným kultúrnym bodom mesta a regiónu, miestom na prezentáciu a produkciu rôznych žánrov súčasného umenia (koncerty, divadlo, tanec, nový cirkus, výstavy, multikultúrne podujatia, interaktívne inštalácie, workshopy, prednášky) a množstva komunitných aktivít. Svojou činnosťou podporuje otvorený spôsob zmýšľania, kreativitu, poskytuje vzdelanostné zázemie a rozvíja kritické myslenie.
